Katie and Sebastian, a wedding at the Orangerie of Villa Lagorio, Celle Ligure

The Orangerie of Villa Lagorio, in Celle Ligure, sits a little higher up than the villa and has a large lawn overlooking the sea. This is where Katie and Sebastian celebrated their wedding, on a day in late August.

The civil ceremony took place under a gazebo of fabric and white flowers, with the sea in the background and the guests gathered all around. The readings, hands held tight, and then the exit among petals and applause. The cypress avenue gave us the backdrop for the portraits: a few minutes, a few steps and lots of complicity.

The reception carried on between the garden and the Orangerie’s large glasshouse: family speeches, toasts, the cake cutting on the terrace. Then the party, with white scarves flying on the dance floor, in a joyful, warm atmosphere late into the night.
