Giulia and Lorenzo, an olive grove wedding at La Ginestra, Finale Ligure

For Giulia and Lorenzo the day began in the shade of the olive trees at La Ginestra, in Finale Ligure, with the sea peeking through the hills and the dress hanging under the flowering pergola, waiting.

Getting ready had the relaxed pace of a sunny day: toasts among friends, a last look in the mirror, final touches to the dress with its ruffled sleeves. The religious ceremony took place in a church with a checkered floor, with the children leading the way and the guests’ colors filling the pews. Outside, a doorway of greenery and flowers, the guests’ farewells and a Vespa ready to whisk them away.

At sunset the lawn lit up with a golden glow, perfect for portraits, and soon after came dinner among the trees, with flower filled tables, candles and strings of lights in the branches. Then the cake, the dancing, the couple tossed into the air by their friends: a night of celebrating outdoors, exactly as it was meant to be.
