Matilde and Filippo, a Genoese wedding by the sea
Matilde and Filippo are a Genoese couple, just the way I like them. Close, easygoing, with just one request for their day: to have fun, without too much stress.
And that’s exactly how it went. Getting ready started with smiles and little rituals, the groom’s friends gathered around him, the bridesmaids in orange, even the family dogs joining the celebration. Then the religious ceremony in a richly decorated church, the exit under a shower of petals and hugs from the guests. With the sea in front of them, a few moments just for the two of them, in the golden afternoon light.
The evening kept its promise: dinner outdoors under the lights, the cake cutting framed by orange flowers and a party under frescoed vaults that went on until late, with the dance floor always full. It’s the kind of wedding I love to tell: thoughtful in every detail, but above all truly lived.
